Moscow, February 3 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has rebuked the U.S. Department of State for using double standards in assessing events in Russia and Ukraine.

Lavrov was asked about the reaction from the State Department to the detention of opposition activists in Moscow last Sunday.

"If the State Department issues a statement [on this matter] but remains bashfully silent on the Hero of Ukraine title awarded to Stepan Bandera, this is the use of double standards," the Russian foreign minister said.
