Criminal case opened on blast in residential house in Ordzhonikidze
Feb 8, 2010 at 18:07 | Interfax-UkraineDeputy Chairman of Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration Victor Serheyev told journalists about the opening of the case at a briefing on Feb. 8.
According to him, the commission working at a site of the blast, is considering several possible causes of the blast, one of which is a gas explosion.
He noted that a total of 14 people were rescued. Six of them were hospitalized.
According to him, a sixty year old woman, who at present is in an intensive care unit, had turned on a light in her apartment immediately before the blast occurred. A gas meter had been changed in this apartment on the evening of the blast. The Emergencies Ministry is working at the site of the explosion.
