Dnipropetrovsk, February 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Dnipropetrovsk Regional Governor Victor Bondar has submitted a letter of resignation to Ukrainian President Victor Yuschenko, he told reporters at a briefing in Dnipropetrovsk on Feb. 9.

"The Ukrainian law on the civil service allows me, as a civil servant of the first rank, resign for political, moral and ethical reasons," Bondar said.

He also said that he had fully fulfilled his mission following his appointment as Dnipropetrovsk governor by Ukrainian President Viktor Yuschenko two-and-a-half years ago.
