The Ukrainian language will be the only state language in Ukraine, President Victor Yanukovych said.

"Ukraine will continue to promote the Ukrainian language as its only state language," Yanukovych said at a meeting with Taras Shevchenko National Prize winners in Kyiv on Mar. 9.
