The leader of the People's Self-Defense non-government movement Yuri Lutsenko considers that former president Victor Yushchenko is the betrayer of Ukraine, the said at the event dedicated to the 196th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko's birthday.

According to Lutsenko, Yushchenko did everything to associate all positive results achieved by the power only with his person, and did his best to discredit powerful leaders, who supported him during the orange revolution.

The leader of the People's Self-Defense said that Yuschenko betrayed democratic forces having signed the Universal Agreement with Viktor Yanukovych.

He said that Yuschenko did everything to allow Yanukovych win the elections.

He called on the political forces to unite around the fight against Yanukovych.

He said that the leader of such fight should be the leader of Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc Yulia Tymoshenko.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Lutsenko forecasts that Tymoshenko will try to initiate impeachment of President Viktor Yanukovych.

Lutsenko also considers that Yuschenko's position is one of the reasons for the victory of Viktor Yanukovych in the presidential elections.
