Nominee for Ukraine's prime minister Mykola Azarov said if he is elected prime minister a bill on the state budget will be submitted to parliament in a month.

"The government will need a month to draft a budget. It’s March 11 today. This means the draft budget will be submitted to the Rada on April 11," Azarov told the parliament on Thursday.

"The most difficult task now is to draft and adopt a realistic budget," Azarov said.

"The future government has a program to lead Ukraine out of the crisis, as well as an efficient team to implement it," he said

Azarov pledged to put things right in the financial situation in many state companies, including national energy company Naftogaz Ukrainy, Ukrtelecom, Energoatom and road construction company Ukravtodor.

Reforms will arrive in the housing utility sector, he also said.

Special attention will be paid to the judiciary reform and the fight against corruption, he said.

Azarov said his government would lay "solid groundwork" for economic growth, based on innovative technologies.
