Moscow, March 11 (Interfax) - The Russian Foreign Ministry has been refraining from commenting on Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych's statement that the Russian language would not be given the status of a second national language in Ukraine.

"I would not like to comment on this at the moment," Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Andrei Nesterenko said at a press conference in Moscow on Thursday.

"Let us not run too fast. Let us wait until all executive agencies have been formed in Ukraine and the new government's policies have been shaped in general," the diplomat said.
