Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has dismissed Vasyl Hrytsak as first deputy chief of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and head of the main department for combating corruption and organized crime of the SBU central department.

A decree to that effect was posted on the official Web site of the head of state on Friday evening.

Under another decree, Yanukovych appointed Volodymyr Rokytsky to the vacant post.
