The parliamentary faction of the Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko (BYT) is planning to demand that the Verkhovna Rada consider the question of Education and Science Minister Dmytro Tabachnyk's dismissal at its next meeting.

"We're asking all MPs who are concerned over Ukraine's fate to protect Ukraine's statehood and independence and stop a gathering of radical anti-Ukrainian forces by voting for Tabachnyk's dismissal," the BYT said in a statement published on its official Web site on March 16.

BYT MPs said that the new government's activities were aimed at destroying the spirituality of the Ukrainian people.

"We're sure that the position on Tabachnyk's dismissal will be supported by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and that this will be a confident consolidated position of opposition representatives in parliament," reads the statement.
