Simferopol, March 18 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Ukrainian and Russian Presidents Victor Yanukovych and Dmitry Medvedev will take a joint decision on the construction of a bridge across the Kerch Strait from the Ukrainian port of Kerch to the Russian port of Kavkaz in Krasnodar Krai during Medvedev's visit to Ukraine on May 17-18. Yanukovych said this at a meeting with activists from Crimea in Simferopol on Thursday.

"I think that Russia is currently very interested in the construction of this bridge due to the holding of the 2014 Sochi [Winter] Olympics. I think that President Medvedev and I will take a joint decision on the construction of this bridge during [Medvedev's] official visit to Ukraine on May 17-18. We should built it as soon as possible," he said.
