Simferopol, March 19 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Ukraine's President Viktor Yanukovych has said the existing draft of the Tax Code should be reviewed, taking into account the current situation and has charged Prime Minister Mykola Azarov with submitting a new code for the consideration of the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament.

"I think we will improve this new code rapidly. ...The government, the prime minister [are charged with] considering this issue and determining the terms for the consideration and adoption of this new code," Yanukovych said at a meeting with a group of regional activists of the Crimean Republic in Simferopol on Thursday.

As reported, a new draft of the Tax Code was registered in the Verkhovna Rada on July 21, 2009. The authors of the document were the MPs from the OU-PSD faction, Mykola Katerynchuk, Yuriy Karmazin, Ksenia Liapina, Anatoliy Matvienko, Borys Tarasiuk, Mykola Martynenko, Volodymyr Stretovych, and MP from the BYT Natlia Korolevska
