A mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is to arrive in Kyiv on March 24, 2010, at the invitation of the Ukrainian government, to discuss the possibility of restarting the country's cooperation program with the fund.

"At the authorities' invitation an IMF mission, headed by Thanos Arvanitis, will visit Kyiv from March 24 to April 2 to resume discussions with the authorities with the objective of reaching understanding on economic policies that could be supported by a fund program," reads a statement by Max Alier, the IMF Resident Representative in Ukraine, on Friday.
