Ukraine would never allow kindling a conflict on its border, Foreign Minister Kostiantyn Hryschenko said on the Inter TV channel late on Friday.

"Ukraine would never allow that an organization, where the country is a member, whatever the organization is, was used against Russia... It's unnaturally and it’s not in line with the deepest interests and emotions," the minister said.

Hryschenko said that Russia is the neighboring country, the important country and the country where Ukraine has a chance to move ahead together in the global economy.

"It's not a flashback, its' untrue, this is a prospect, and without relations with Russia, it's unlikely that we [Ukraine] would move forward in relations with the European Union," the minister said.

"This is the exact understanding of our place and role today," he said.
