Ukrainian News learned this from the website of the Czech Republic's embassy in Ukraine.

According to the embassy, the Czech Republic's Health Ministry has ruled that in order to apply for a long-term Czech visa (over 90 days) one does not need to provide medical certificate.

The cancellation of this requirement came into effect March 6, reads the website of Czech Republic's Health Ministry.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, in July 2009 Ukraine expected the Czech Republic to abandon its visa requirements demanding that Ukrainian citizens seeking long-term visas provide medical certificates on absence of infectious diseases.

The Czech Republic said the introduction of visa requirements demanding that Ukrainian citizens seeking long-term visas provide medical certificates on absence of infectious diseases from June 1, 2009, was linked with the norms of the national legislation.
