Simferopol, April 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Head of the Crimean government Premier Vasyl Dzharty has said he opposes opening casinos in Crimean hotels, but that he has no objection to developing the gambling business in specially allocated territories if the local population agrees.

"I feel strongly about opening casinos in hotels. I have no objection to allocating special territories for the gambling business. But it remains to be seen [what will happen]," Dzharty said at a press conference in Simferopol on Wednesday.

"If people don’t mind a gambling business with developed infrastructure opening in one or another territory, I will definitely have no objections. But my word will be final," Dzharty added.
