Lviv is successfully fulfilling most UEFA requirements, the press service of Lviv City State Administration has quoted Director of the Euro 2012 Department at Lviv City Council Oleh Zasadny as saying.

"Unfortunately, the leadership of the International Olympic Committee is not closely monitoring Lviv’s preparations for the championship. It’s known that Lviv has the best position among Ukrainian cities in terms of hotels: 92% of rooms have already been contracted for the accommodation of UEFA target groups. As for the remaining 8%, the city provided clear guarantees to UEFA, not taking into account a reserve of hotels under construction," Zasadny said.

He also said that Lviv was currently ready to accommodate over 30,000 fans.

He said that the needs for the provision of the city with public transport during the Euro 2012 European Football Championship had been clearly calculated. He noted that the Lviv stadium was located at the entrance to the city, which would help reduce the volume of traffic in Lviv’s central historical part and guarantee the free movement of fans.

"Now that the state is overseeing the construction of the stadium and airport in Lviv and is guaranteeing the dates for the implementation of these projects, we can say with confidence that Lviv, along with other host cities in Ukraine, has entered a new stage of preparation," Zasadny said.
