You're reading: Turkish warships make port call in Sevastopol

Sevastopol, April 9 (Interfax-AVN) - Several Turkish naval ships including the Barbaros frigate and the Yildyrai submarine arrived in the Ukrainian port city of Sevastopol on an unofficial visit on Friday, Ukrainian Navy spokesman Volodymyr Bova told Interfax.

"The Turkish frigate and submarine are moored at Port Sevastopol not far from the center of the city, Bova said.

The visit is on the program of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry’s international cooperation for 2010, he said.

He also said the Ukrainian warship Slavutych, which is taking part in the April activation of the BLACKSEAFOR naval cooperation group, will call at the Turkish port of Eregli on Friday.
