Every "anti-Ukrainian attack by the authorities" will be rebuffed, the Our Ukraine Party's press service has said, quoting Iryna Vannykova, an adviser to third Ukrainian President Viktor Yuschenko, as saying.

"No anti-Ukrainian attack by the authorities will be left unnoticed. Let’s not allow the current officials to think they can do with impunity everything that their Kremlin backers demand," she said, claiming there was a "de-Ukrainization of Ukraine’s information space."

Vannykova said that the current steps taken by the new authorities on the "de-Ukrainization of the information space" and setting a course for a "gradual Russification of the information space" looked like an attempt to "test the ground" and clarify whether or not these actions will cause serious resistance from the Ukrainian society.

She recalled that the Ukrainian students had been the first to oppose to anti-Ukrainian actions by officials, whereas the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine had expressed its strong protest against attempts to financially "strangle" a Ukrainian newspaper in Odesa region, Chornomorski Novyny (Black Sea News).
