You're reading: One injured, one killed in ambulance crash in Odesa

One person has been killed and another injured as a result of a collision between a ZAZ Daewoo car and an ambulance in Odesa, the chief of the preventive work department of Odesa traffic police, Alla Marchenko, told Interfax-Ukraine on Tuesday.

She said that the deceased was a passenger of the ambulance.

She also said the accident had occurred due to the fact that the driver of the car had not let the ambulance pass through an intersection, which was running a red light with lights flashing and sirens blaring. The ambulance overturned after the collision.

The investigation is underway.
