Ukraine will send Hr.5 million worth of aid to Poland to help tackle the consequences of flooding, Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said.

The head of Ukrainian government said this to his Polish counterpart Donald Tusk in a phone conversation, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported on Thursday.

He noted that the cabinet took the decision to send financial aid to Poland at a meeting on Wednesday.

"Ukraine is ready to send people, equipment, and facilities to the aid of Poland, according to the needs of the Polish side. I would ask you, Mr. Prime Minister, to direct the government of Ukraine regarding this issue," Azarov said.

Tusk, in turn, thanked the Ukrainian premier for his government’s help and its readiness to continue rendering it.
