Ukraine has banned imports of horses and other single-hoofed animals from Colorado, Oklahoma and Texas in the United States, and from Panama.

According to a report of the State Committee for Veterinary Medicine, the ban was introduced on June 11 in response to an outbreak of piroplasmosis disease in the United States, and an outbreak of Venezuelan encephalomyelitis in Panama.
