Twelve ice rinks for training to be built in Ukraine

A total of 12 ice rinks for training are to be built in Ukraine, the Family, Youth and Sports Ministry’s press service reported.

A respective decision was taken at a meeting of the Family, Youth and Sports Ministry and members of the committee for preparations for the World Ice Hockey Championship in 2011.

According to Deputy Minister Vadym Sysyuk, ice rinks for training will be constructed in Kyiv, Lviv, Donetsk, Krasnoarmiysk (Donetsk region), Sevastopol, Sumy, Khmelnytsk, Cherkasy, Ilichivsk (Odesa region), Luhansk and Mukachevo (Zakarpattia).

Sysyuk also said that two ice rinks would be built in Kyiv to replace the Kryzhynka ice rink.
