Ukraine's position on non-recognition of the independence of Kosovo remains unchanged, Press Secretary of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine Oleksandr Dikusarov said at a briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday, July 27.

"Ukraine’s position not to recognize the independence of Kosovo remains unchanged: Relying on basic international legal documents… Ukraine is committed to the principle of absolute respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all states with recognized international borders," Dikusarov said.

He added that Ukraine, as one of the founders of the United Nations Organization, also respects and takes into consideration the legal opinion on Kosovo of the United Nations International Court, which recently ruled Kosovo’s declaration of independence legal.
