Several people detained on suspicion of involvement into Zaporizhia church blast
Jul 30, 2010 at 19:03 | Interfax-Ukraine"Several people have been detained. They are most likely involved into the case, however this hasn't been proved yet – questionings and examinations are underway. So we cannot say anything more specific about these people yet," the Web site quoted the interior minister as saying in Zaporizhia on Friday.
Mohyliov also said that the experts concluded that a clock-operated bomb went off in the church.
According to the Web site, regional police chief Volodymyr Serba said that the main department of the Interior Ministry's branch in Zaporizhia region is ready to pay Hr 200,000 as a reward for the information about the person or people behind the explosion.
As reported, an explosion occurred at the Intercession Church (subordinate to Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Moscow Patriarchate) in the center of Zaporizhia on Wednesday, July 28. A nun who was injured in the explosion died later in hospital. A criminal case on the blast has been opened.
