Twenty-four-hour standby alert of the operation group of the Joint Staff and United Operation General Headquarters of Ukraine has been organized due to emergency situation in Ukraine linked to dry and hot weather, the press service of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry reported on Saturday.
Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Hryhoriy Pedchenko said that the operation group was created to monitor the situation, prevent possible risks of emergency situations with explosive hazards of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and strengthen control over the state of fire safety at ammunition and explosives depots.
