You're reading: Heatwave and high fire risk to remain in Ukraine early next week

The Ukrainian Weather Forecasting Center has warned that the high fire risk in the country will remain through the end of this week into early next week.

According to a report published on the Web site of the Ukrainian Weather Forecasting Center on Friday, the heatwave, with daytime temperatures reaching as high as 35-37 degrees Celsius, is expected to continue in Kyiv region and the city of Kyiv on August 13-17, with high fire risks continuing during the period.

In other regions, apart from in western regions, hot weather with daytime temperatures of 35-39 degrees Celsius is expected on August 13-17. In eastern and southern regions, as well as in Dnipropetrovsk and Kirovohrad regions, air temperatures will reach 40 decrees Celsius in some areas.
