Kharkiv police investigating disappearance of local newspaper chief editor Klymentyev
Aug 14, 2010 at 14:58 | Interfax-UkraineKlymentyev went missing on August 11 after leaving his house, the center of public relations of the main department of Interior Ministry in Kharkiv region told Interfax-Ukraine on Saturday.
It has been established that that day Klymentyev left his house and accompanied by an unknown man drove away in a silver BMW car. Relatives of the journalist, appealed to police the next day, on August 12.
A criminal case has not been opened yet, the public relations center said adding that criminal proceedings are usually instituted ten days after the disappearance of a person.
Klymentyev, born in 1943, is the founder and editor-in-chief of the New Style Newspaper, which specializes in publishing materials on corruption among the representatives of military and law-enforcement agencies.
