Pupils of the 10th grades at comprehensive schools at the beginning of school year may have to use electronic editions of textbooks placed on the Web sites of the Education and Science Ministry of Ukraine and some other specialized publishers, as the books themselves haven't been printed yet.
A list of Web sites with the electronic versions of the textbooks has been posted on the official Web site of the Education Ministry.
The press service of the ministry told Interfax-Ukraine that a list of authors and textbooks for this school year has already been approved.
"As [Education] Minister Dmytro Tabachnyk said more than once, the situation with textbooks is connected to the budget… Currently the textbooks for the first and second grades are being printed, they should be ready by September 1. For senior pupils this issue could be resolved by November 1," the press service said.
