Ukrainian Health Minister Zinoviy Mytnyk has said that payments for medical services in Ukraine should be brought out of the shadows.

"Nobody is bothered when a person pays $250,000 for an operation in Germany, Austria or Israel. The same operation is free in our country, but we cannot provide our doctors, who are themselves skilled, with medical materials, instruments, and diagnostic equipment," he said in an interview with the Profile weekly magazine.
