You're reading: High risk of fire expected in Ukraine over next few days

Kyiv, August 21 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The threat of wildfires will be still high in the most part of Ukraine over the next few days, the Ukrainian weather forecast centre has said.

On August 21-25, there will be high risk of new fires in the southern and eastern regions of the country, Dnipropetrovsk and Poltava regions, and larger part of Chernihiv, Sumy, Vinnytsia and Kirovohrad regions.

Weather forecasters expect occasional thunderstorms and wind gusts of 15 to 20 meters per second in Crimea on Saturday.
