Kyiv, August 21 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has conferred national status to several state universities.
The president on Saturday signed corresponding orders, which have been posted on his official Web site.
According to the orders, Mykolaiv Sukhomlynsky State University, Odesa State Medical University and Kremenchuk Ostrohradsky State University have obtained the status of national establishments.
These higher education establishments gained this high status for their important contribution to development of national education and science, the orders read.
