The construction of a marine terminal capable of receiving 10 billion cubic meters of liquefied natural gas a year, the construction of solar and wind power plants with a capacity of 2 GW, and the establishment of the national information and communication network based on 4G technology have been designated among the ten national projects in Ukraine.

At the second meeting of the committee of economic reforms chaired by the president in Kyiv on Wednesday, the head of the ad hoc group on national projects, Vladyslav Kaskiv said that the construction of affordable housing, which will cost from UAH 3,000 to UAH 4,000 per square meter, drafting of a strategic plan for urban development, programs for solid waste processing and the provision of drinking water are among these ten projects.

The list of national projects also includes the 2022 Olympic Hopes program on establishing a rapid transit line between Kyiv and Boryspil Airport, the development of the Ukrainian shipping, raising the quality of maternal and child care and the provision of school pupils with electronic books (Pocketbook) instead of textbooks.
