China will give Ukraine a grant worth about 20 million yuan (about $2.9 million).

Ukrainian First Deputy Prime Minister Andriy Kliuyev told reporters in Beijing on Friday that these funds would be primarily used on the education sector.

"In fact, these are funds for school education and the purchase of computers," he said.

Kliuyev said that these funds would be spent within several programs.

As reported, Ukraine and China on September 2 signed a bilateral government agreement on the provision of a grant to Ukraine.
