President Viktor Yanukovych assesses the concept of the exposition and the content of the Ukrainian pavilion at the world exhibition "Expo-2010" underway in Shanghai, China, as being inefficient.

Ukrainian News learned this from a statement by the press office of President Yanukovych of Ukraine.

According to the statement, Yanukovych visited the Expo-2010 exhibition in Shanghai on September 5.

The President expressed the appreciation of the fact of Ukraine's presence at the world exhibition. However, Yanukovych said the content of the exposition of the National Pavilion of Ukraine and the content of the pavilion must be changed.

"As for the Ukrainian pavilion, it is good we are presented here... However, it [the pavilion] is definitely not meeting our wishes. It is not meeting what we would like to show here. This is a big defect in the State policy and the policy should be filled with [new] content," said the President.

President Yanukovych emphasized that Ukraine's participation in international exhibitions of that scale is one of steps leading the country to a better future.

Yanukovych also visited the pavilion of China at Expo-2010 and watched there a presentation film about China. The President of Ukraine left his impressions of the exhibition in the Book of Honorary Guests.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Ukraine and the People's Republic of China have define their priorities in the cooperation for the 2010-2012 period.
