You're reading: Ukrainians to start traveling to Israel without visas this year

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry hopes that the agreement on visa-free travel with Israel takes effect by 2011.

"We believe that if Israel completes all domestic procedures soon, the agreement will enter into force by the year-end or early next year," Foreign Ministry’s spokesman Oleksandr Dikusarov said at a briefing.

He noted that the Ukrainian government had already approved the agreement and submitted all the relevant documents to Israel.

"Our Israeli counterparts are to conduct the same procedures and notify Kyiv. After that, the relevant agreement will come into force in 90 days," Dikusarov said.
