Brussels, Oct. 26 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The action plan on the introduction of visa-free travel between Ukraine and the European Union member-states will be adopted at the Ukraine-EU summit scheduled for Nov. 22.

“Today we have discussed this issue with [EU High Representative] Catherine Ashton and [European Commissioner] Stefan Fule. A decision was passed yesterday at the level of foreign ministers of the EU states, so we proceed from the fact that this action plan will be one of the key elements, which will be adopted at our summit,” the Ukrainian foreign minister told reporters in Brussels on Tuesday.

The Ukrainian foreign minister noted that the issue of the relaxation of visa requirements is rather painful for certain states of the European Union.

According to the minister, what Ukraine needs is to give a signal to continue the revitalization of the talks on the free trade agreement.

"We see the significant progress that was made during the last round, but there are fairly complex topics… Over time, Ukraine will benefit from the accession to the EU market, but at the same time, we need a transition period so that the major players could adapt," Hryschenko said.
