You're reading: Austria promises to help Ukraine with visa-free travel

Vienna, Nov. 8 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Austria has promised to help Ukraine in signing an agreement on an action plan for gaining the right to visa-free travel for Ukrainian citizens entering the EU, Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said.

Austria will also help Ukraine conclude an agreement on a free trade area with the European Union, Azarov said after the talks with Federal Chancellor of Austria Werner Faymann in Vienna on Monday.

"The Austrian chancellor has stressed that he supports the introduction of an action plan for visa-free travel, and promised to do what he can to help the conclusion of an agreement on a free trade area," Azarov said.

As reported, on Monday the Ukrainian prime minister took part in the Vienna Economic Forum, where he met with representatives of Austrian business and government.
