Brussels, Nov. 10 (Interfax-Ukraine) - The European Parliament has again postponed a vote on a resolution on the situation in Ukraine.

The next vote is scheduled for the second part of the November session of the European Parliament, which will be held in Strasbourg on Nov. 22-25.

The decision was taken on Wednesday during the discussion of proposals to amend the agenda of the current session of the European Parliament.

European Parliament President Jerzy Buzek reported on a proposal to postpone the vote. However, a representative of the Group of the European People’s Party, MEP Elmar Brok, spoke out against the postponement of the vote, and said that the resolution should be voted ahead of the EU-Ukraine summit, which is scheduled for Nov. 22 in Brussels. A member of the Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists & Democrats, Hannes Swoboda, opposed the proposal. After that, the president of the European Parliament passed Brok’s proposal to the vote.

A total of 135 deputies voted for the proposal, and 171 voted against it. Thus, the resolution on Ukraine will be voted in Strasbourg on Nov. 22-25.
