Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych will decide on signing the Tax Code after conclusions are drawn by experts from his administration.

The head of state said this in an interview with AFP, Inter TV Channel reported late on November 19.

"I’ll take a decision when I see the full picture and get conclusions from experts. I am more than confident that we will have to return to this code more than once and amend something," Yanukovych said in a video recording of the interview broadcast on Inter.

Yanukovych said that he planned to take a decision that will protect the interests of the state.

He also noted that the adoption of the Tax Code would put Ukraine on a list of predictable states.

The Ukrainian parliament adopted the Tax Code on Thursday, November 18. The law may take effect after it is signed by the president and published in an official newspaper. The document is currently in the Verkhovna Rada.
