The monitoring of Internet publications with respect to cases of xenophobia, anti-Semitism and violent content has started in Ukraine at the initiative of President of the Ukrainian Jewish Committee and MP Oleksandr Feldman.
"We want to stop these [cases of xenophobia on Ukrainian Web sites]. We will file appeals in the courts against the owners of such Web sites and users," he told the Ukrainian service of Germany’s international broadcaster Deutsche Welle.
Feldman said that the monitoring was being conducted by the Institute of Human Rights and the Prevention of Extremism and Xenophobia (IHRPEX), which he co-founded with Amanda Paul, an analyst from Brussels-based European Policy Centre.

Feldman said that the monitoring would concern not only national or religious insults, but also derogatory comments with respect to the homeless or poor people, and even offensive correspondence by football fans.
He also called on the owners of Web sites to block the spread of child pornography and violent content.
