Prime Minister of South Korea Kim Hwang-sik has said the country is interested in developing economic cooperation with Ukraine.

"We want Korean companies to be able to enter the Ukrainian market. I would like to address you with a request to render them the required assistance [to do this]," he said at a meeting with Chairman of Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Lytvyn in Seoul on Friday.

The prime minister noted that South Korea knows Ukraine as a country with high culture and a rich history.

"It would be good if as many tourists from South Korea as possible can visit your country, because one of the ways to intensify ties between the countries is to exchange tourists and students," Kim said.

On Friday, Lytvyn will finish his official visit to South Korea and return to Ukraine.
