Ukrainian high-ranking officials will have to declare incomes of their closest relatives.
Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych said this in an exclusive interview with 1+1 Channel on Sunday night.
When asked why the anti-corruption bills submitted to parliament do not contain such a regulation, Yanukovych said that those documents, which are being currently considered, are only the first steps.
"These are the first, very necessary steps to lay the foundation for the fight against the corruption in our country, as soon as we begin implementing this law, we will start to tighten the screws further, as they say," he said.
