The Our Ukraine Party has expressed its indignation and called for the official explanation regarding the reports about the closure of the Ukrainian Literature Library in Moscow.

This situation clearly characterizes the attitude of the Russian authorities to national minorities, the party’s press service quoted chairman of the party’s political council Valentyn Nalyvaichenko as saying.

"After the abolition of the Federal National Cultural Autonomy of Ukrainians in Russia, Vladimir Putin’s statement, which is belittling the role of our nation in the victory in World War II, we see yesterday’s event as a component of a consolidated and conscious policy. In fact, this is a smack in the eye for the Ukrainian authorities, Ukrainians in Russia, and all our people," the chairman of the Our Ukraine political council said.
