A tent of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Moscow Patriarchate (UOC MP) burned down in Chernihiv on the night of Saturday, January 1.

The fire broke out at 0012, Interfax-Ukraine learned at the main department of the Ukrainian Emergencies Ministry in Chernihiv region. No casualties have been reported.

The Emergencies Ministry said that the tent was set up near the Church of Saint Catherine subordinate to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Kyiv Patriarchate (UOC-KP).

A laboratory is working to establish the cause of the fire, the press service said, adding that it is too early to say whether it was arson or a fire due to negligence.
