You're reading: Kyiv to allocate over Hr 5 million in humanitarian aid to Pakistan

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is planning to allocate Hr 5.191 million in humanitarian aid to Pakistan, Ukrainian Emergencies Minister Viktor Baloha has told Interfax-Ukraine.

"At a government meeting today, we are planning to take a decision to allocate UAH 5,190,645 in humanitarian aid to Pakistan," he said before a government meeting on Wednesday.

Baloha said that humanitarian assistance would be provided to Pakistan to help it combat the effects of the floods that hit the country last summer.

As reported, on December 9, 2010 Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych signed a decree on providing humanitarian aid to flood-stricken Pakistan.
