A pregnant woman has been diagnosed with H1N1 influenza virus, the Ukrainian Health Ministry has reported.

"We have registered many cases of H1N1 virus in almost all the regions of the country. But this is the first (officially confirmed) case in Kyiv in which a pregnant woman tested [positive]," Head of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service of the Ukrainian Health Ministry Serhiy Ryzhenko said at a press conference in Kyiv on Tuesday.

"This year influenza B viruses are dominating, unlike last year when H1N1 virus prevailed…" he said.
