You're reading: Ukraine, Japan to start training program on tourism promotion

Tokyo – Ukraine and Japan are to start realizing a three-year training program on tourism promotion this year as a part of cooperation in the GUAM (Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, and Moldova) plus Japan format.

This is stipulated in a declaration by Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych and Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan signed in Tokyo on Tuesday.

The document says that during their talks the sides welcomed the training program on tourism promotion, which would be realized over three years starting from 2011, and a seminar on the prevention of natural disasters that is to be held in 2011, which again confirms the development of a dialogue and cooperation in the GUAM plus Japan format.
