The Ukrainian government will consider the possibility of assigning a one-time payment of ten accrued pensions to social workers upon retirement, Deputy Prime Minister Sergiy Tigipko has said.
"We’ll consider such a possibility after making respective calculations," the Strong Ukraine Party quoted Tigipko as saying.
He said that such a proposal had been by social workers during the debate on pension reform.
A bill on pension reform foresees a one-time payment of ten accrued pensions for teachers, doctors and cultural workers.
