You're reading: No public order disturbances registered on Ukrainian Unity Day

The events to mark Ukrainian Unity Day and the 92nd anniversary of signing of the act on the reunion of the Ukrainian People's Republic (UPR) and the Western Ukrainian People's Republic (WUPR) passed peacefully in Ukraine on January 22, police say.

Various events, concerts, meetings and rallies were held in 168 towns and cities of Ukraine, including the capital of Ukraine, the press service of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry reported.

"The Interior Ministry of Ukraine is grateful to the organizers and participants of the events for the mutual understanding achieved and activities coordinated with the police, due to which the events were held in a festive atmosphere without any violations of the public order in the state, and in particular, in the capital," reads a ministry report.
