The Ukrainian government is ready to support the plans of LEONI Wiring Systems UA GmbH, a producer of automotive wiring harnesses for European manufacturers, to expand its production in Ukraine, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said.
"We are ready to support your proposal," he said at a meeting with representatives of German business in Kyiv on January 25 after the company’s representatives announced plans to expand production in Ukraine and increase the number of its employees by 1,000.
The prime minister asked the head of the State Customs Service to personally oversee the rendering of assistance to this manufacturer.
Representatives of LEONI Wiring Systems UA noted that the company wanted to expand production in Ukraine, as the company had faced difficulties with its production facilities in Africa.
